MARIO
The happy-go-lucky plumber that everyone knows and loves! (Except his enemies.) The rescuer of Peach, eternal enemy of Bowser.
LUIGI
Mario's younger twin that's also happy, but a bit more nervous and cautious. Pro ghost-hunter whenever he has his own games.
PEACH
Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, a kind soul and loves baking. She and Mario are very close, and they tend to bicker with Bowser often.
DAISY
The cheery princess of Sarasaland. Known for her love of flowers and high energy, she often plays sports and parties with the main crew.
YOSHI
A friendly dinosaur with a very long tongue, which is used to grab fruit and enemies. His species comes in a variety of colors! Often helps Mario.
DONKEY KONG
King of the jungle, known for that iconic red tie. Loves bananas of course, and he recently got a design change in this new era!
BOWSER
The Koopa King! Always seen kidnapping Peach and trying to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. At least he's down for these Kart races.
BOWSER JR.
Bowser's son and heir to the Koopa throne, always down to help out his dad. Throws temper tantrums when things don't go his way.
KOOPA TROOPA
The most common species of Koopa out there. Many work as Bowser's minions, but some are quite friendly! They can hide and spin in their shells.
TOAD
Mushroom Kingdom resident who works for Peach. Like with Yoshis, theres variety of Toads of other colors. Sometimes they adventure with Mario.
TOADETTE
A cute and spunky female Toad, known for her mushroom pigtails. High energy, sometimes a bit stubborn, but also adventurous!
LAKITU
This spiny-tossing cloud-riding Koopa usually worked as a referee, but recently became a racer themself!
KING BOO
Leader of the Boos and everything spooky! One of the rare villains who actually captured Mario multiple times.
SHY GUY
These little guys tend to hide their faces due to how shy they are. Shame. I'm sure they're adorable... right?
WARIO
Mario's greedy arch-rival, but he usually does his own thing. These days he treasure hunts and runs a game company.
WALUIGI
Wario's lanky partner-in-crime, rival of Luigi. He's mean, but you gotta admit -- this guy has a lot of style.
BIRDO
A stylish and sometimes flirtatious dinosaur that can shoot eggs from her mouth. She wants to be a superstar!
PAULINE
Mario's former love-interest, but they remained good friends. Nowadays spends time as a mayor and a singer!
ROSALINA
A mysterious lady who resides in space with a race of stars known as Lumas. Participates in Mario's antics sometimes.
BABY MARIO
Mario as an infant child. Was rescued by the Yoshis, and travels through time to the present to race and play sports...
BABY LUIGI
The infant version of the wonderful yet timid Luigi. Was kidnapped by Kamek until rescued by Yoshi and Baby Mario.
BABY PEACH
Princess Peach as an adorable infant. Ever notice how her crown is larger as a baby than it is as an adult? Huh.. Interesting.
BABY DAISY
The energetic Daisy as an infant! The cast really likes inviting their younger selves to have fun, it's kinda wholesome.
BABY ROSALINA
Infant version of the distant princess Rosalina. I'm running out of interesting bios for these babies. Someone help?
NABBIT
A rabbit who often steals things, but also adventures with Mario & Friends for some reason? What a guy.
GOOMBA
Small little mushroom-like creatures that stomp around. Nintendo finally let them drive cars, how cute!
DRY BONES
Skeletal versions of Koopa Troopas. When broken, they reassemble. What happened to the Dry Bomber Kart?
PIRANHA PLANT
Carnivorous plants with very sharp teeth! One appeared in a fighting game, and it'll show up in a racer too!
SPIKE
A unique Koopa variant that can spawn spike balls from its mouth. They appear in quite a lot of spin-offs!
WIGGLER
An adorable caterpillar-like creature with a flower on its head. Loves gardening, though it can get REALLY angry.
HAMMER BRO
Koopas known for wearing helmets and throwing hammers at people. You definitely lost a life to one before.
SIDESTEPPER
Little crab enemies that invade underground pipes, and sometimes appear on beaches. Yes, they can drive too.
CATAQUACK
Interesting duck-like creatures that will fling you far, far away if you get too close. They invited bro.
MONTY MOLE
The greatest, most precious rodent in the Mario universe. It should be playable in everything.
CHEEP CHEEP
Fish creatures in the Mushroom Kingdom. They tend to hop out of water, and drive vehicles, apparently.
PIANTA
These guys live on Isle Delfino, and are generally chill... But they have short tempers. Don't make them mad.
ROCKY WRENCH
Monty Moles aren't the only moles, you have these guys too! These guys toss wrenches at people. Ouch!
CONKDOR
These cool birds look sort of like ostriches due to their very long necks. They bonk the ground when approached.
SWOOP
Super adorable tiny little bats! They tend to- wait, what do you mean they're meta characters?!
POKEY
Tall silly cactus guys! I bet the guy who made Mario Racing Tournament is excited that it's officially playable now.
PEEPA
Ghosts just like Boos, but resemble sheets and have very big smiles. Look at those big ol' buck teeth!
STINGBY
Bee-like creatures that fly around and have stingers on their faces. They tend to chase passerbys...
FISH BONE
Skeletal variants of Cheep Cheeps that usually hang around in castles. Who let them ride bikes?
COIN COFFER
An interesting hybrid of a frog and a purse. Like their names suggest, they cough up coins. I want one!
COW
Also known as Moo Moo! Don't act like she's a bad addition to the game now, you know you love that she's here!
SNOWMAN
These guys wear fashionable buckets on their heads, and are usually hazards. But now they race, so look out!
PENGUIN
It's a penguin! What more can I say about these guys? Just don't drive off a cliff while playing as it. Seriously.
DOLPHIN
Friendly dolphins that wear the most adorable goggles! They usually don't bother people, and are quite helpful.
PARA-BIDDYBUD
Winged variants of Biddybuds. Ever played as a Para-Biddybud driving a Biddybuggy? No? Try it!
CHARGIN' CHUCK
These big Koopas sport athletic gear, and tend to charge at their opponents! Football is their spirit.
